A year at our school

Celebrating NAIDOC Week

We proudly celebrated NAIDOC Week by building strong connections with our local high schools and families. Together, we honour and learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and achievements. Our celebrations recognise the importance of cultural awareness and community connection on Dharawal land.

Celebrating Father’s Day

At Narellan Vale Public School, we celebrated Father’s Day by inviting fathers, carers and special family members to enjoy time with their children at school. It’s a wonderful opportunity to share a meal together, strengthen family connections and celebrate the important role fathers and carers play in our school community.

Premier's Spelling Bee

Every year our school participates in the NSW Premiers Spelling Bee. All students are involved in the competition from Years 3-6, which leads to a Stage 2 (Yr3-4) and Stage 3 (Yr5-6) representative for the local region. In 2025 our junior representative won the State competition!

Book Week & Grandfriends Day

A yearly event at Narellan Vale Public School is the book week character parade and Grandfriends day. Students enjoy dressing as a favourite book character and sharing this special time with grandparents. Developing a love of literacy and reading is celebrated daily at our school.

NVPS gives us a lot of opportunities like the HPGE groups, Gala Days, reward days, P&C events like discos and much more — student of Narellan Vale Public School
