Zone Athletics

The Zone Athletics Carnival was held a few weeks ago at Campbelltown Stadium, with over 40 of our students competing across the two days. As always all of our students showed great sportsmanship and tried their best. Narellan Vale was awarded the overall winner in the large school category and Zac G was awarded the Razorback Senior Boys Age Champion. Several students and teams placed in the top 3 of their event and went on to represent at the Sydney South West Carnival which was held last Wednesday.

Here are the results from the SSW Carnival:

Kaitlin T- 4^th in 10 Years 100m final and 9^th overall in 10 Years 200m

Kiara S – 10^th overall in 10 Years 200m and 12^th overall in Jnr Girls 800m

Sophie L- 4^th in 12 Years 100m final and 17^th overall in 12 Years 200m

Zoe J – 4^th in 11 Years 200m final and 6^th in 11 Years 100m final

Koby K – 2^nd in 11 Years 800m (qualified for state) and 3^rd in the 1500m

Zac G – 2^nd in 12 Years 1500m (qualified for state)

Junior Boys Relay – 1^st (qualified for state) – Reece I, Riley B, Mervyn S and Jarryd K

Junior Girls Relay – 1^st (qualified for state) - Hope S, Kaitlin T, Kiara S and Kiah G

Senior Girls Relay – 1^st (qualified for state) – Sophie L, Eden G, Eliana H and Zoe J

The Senior Boys (Koby K, Jay T, Zac G and Malaki S) qualified for the final, but sadly were still running to the track from the Rugby League win when the starting gun went off and they missed the race. All of these boys, although disappointed showed outstanding sportsmanship. We wish those athletes attending state in week two next term all the very best!
